Tables from PDF to Excel
Choose a PDF with tables (a bank statement, a price list, a report, an invoice) and get an XLSX workbook with each table on its own sheet. Numbers come out as numbers, whether written as 1.234,56 or 1,234.56, so totals and formulas work straight away. Text outside tables is kept on a separate sheet so nothing goes missing.
What converts best
Tables with ruling lines or clearly aligned columns, from PDFs exported by a program. Scanned statements are pictures: run OCR PDF on them first. Very complex layouts (merged cells across pages) may need a little tidying in Excel.
Private and temporary
Your PDF is uploaded to private cloud storage (Cloudflare R2), converted by an isolated worker and deleted: the upload when the workbook is ready, the workbook after an hour (24 hours with a free account). Files up to 10 MB need no account.
How this works
The converter looks at the lines and the alignment of text on every page to find tables and their cells, then writes each table to its own Excel sheet. Cells that look like numbers, in Brazilian or English notation and with or without a currency sign, are stored as numbers.
Frequently asked
Do I need an account?
No. PDFs up to 10 MB convert without one; a free account takes up to 25 MB.
Will numbers work in formulas?
Yes. 1.234,56 and 1,234.56 (with or without R$ or $) become real numbers.
What about text that isn't in a table?
It's kept, line by line, on a sheet called Text.
Does it work on scanned PDFs?
Run OCR PDF first (in your browser): a scan has no text to read.
