Edit a PDF in Word
Choose a PDF and get a DOCX that opens in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice with the text flowing in normal paragraphs, headings kept as headings, lists as lists and tables as real tables. Fix a typo in a contract, update a CV, reuse a report: the document keeps its look and stays editable.
What converts best
PDFs saved from Word, Google Docs, accounting and billing systems convert almost perfectly. A scanned paper document is only a picture of text: run OCR PDF on it first (it works in your browser), then convert the result.
Private and temporary
Your PDF is uploaded to private cloud storage (Cloudflare R2), converted by an isolated worker without internet access, and deleted: the upload when the DOCX is ready, the DOCX after an hour (24 hours with a free account). Files up to 10 MB need no account; a free account takes up to 25 MB.
How this works
The converter reads every character, font and line from the PDF, groups them into paragraphs, headings, lists and table cells, and writes them as a Word document. It then prints the Word document with LibreOffice and compares each page with the PDF, adjusting spacing until the pages match, so a 3-page PDF stays a 3-page document.
Frequently asked
Do I need an account?
No. PDFs up to 10 MB convert without one; a free account takes up to 25 MB.
Can I edit the result?
Yes. Text is in normal paragraphs and tables, not floating text boxes, so it reflows when you edit.
Does it work on scanned PDFs?
Not directly: a scan has no text, only images. Run OCR PDF first (in your browser), then convert.
Is my file private?
It goes to private cloud storage (Cloudflare R2), is converted by an isolated worker and deleted: the upload when the result is ready, the result after 1 hour (24 hours with a free account).
