Fix sideways pages permanently
Scanners and phone apps often save a page sideways or upside down. Rotating it in a PDF viewer only changes your view; the file stays wrong for everyone else. This tool saves the rotation in the PDF itself.
- Rotate by: 90° clockwise turns a page a quarter turn to the right, 270° a quarter turn to the left, 180° flips it upside down. The rotation adds to what a page already has.
- Pages: leave empty to rotate every page, or list the sideways ones, such as
2, 5-7.
Rotation is a property of each page in a PDF, so nothing is redrawn or re-compressed: text stays searchable and the file size hardly changes. You can rotate up to five PDFs at a time with the same settings.

The PDF is changed by your browser on your device and never uploaded.
How this works
The PDF is opened in a Web Worker with pdf-lib. Every PDF page carries a rotation value (0, 90, 180 or 270 degrees) that viewers apply when they display or print it. The tool adds your angle to that value on each selected page and saves the document. Page contents are left exactly as they are, which is why quality and size don't change.
Frequently asked
Is the rotation saved in the file?
Yes. It is stored in the PDF, so the pages appear the right way in every viewer and when printed.
Which way is 90°?
Clockwise: the top of the page moves to the right. Use 270° to turn it the other way.
Does rotating reduce quality?
No. Only the page's rotation setting changes; content is not redrawn.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. It is rotated by your browser on this device.
