Static QR codes, no strings attached
A QR code stores text in a square grid of black and white modules that phone cameras read in a fraction of a second. Many "free" generators hide your link behind their own short URL so they can track scans or switch it off later. This one doesn't: the code contains exactly the text you typed, so it works forever and nobody sees who scanned it.
The download is an SVG, a vector image that stays sharp at any size, from a business card to a poster.
Error correction
QR codes contain redundant data so they still scan when partly dirty, torn or covered by a logo. Level L recovers about 7% damage, M 15%, Q 25% and H 30%. Higher levels need more modules, so the code gets denser. M is a good default; use H if you will place a logo on top.
Worked example
https://utilnest.io (19 bytes) fits in a version 2 code, 25 × 25 modules, at level M. At level H the same link needs version 3, 29 × 29 modules. Keep URLs short and codes stay easier to scan.
How this works
The page encodes your text according to ISO/IEC 18004: it chooses the most compact encoding mode, the smallest QR version that holds the data at the error-correction level you picked, adds Reed–Solomon error-correction codewords, and applies the mask pattern that scans most reliably. The resulting grid is drawn as a single SVG path with a white quiet zone around it, which scanners need. The SVG is generated from the grid only, never from your text. Everything runs in your browser, and nothing is uploaded or logged.
Frequently asked
Do these QR codes expire?
No. They encode your text directly, with no redirect, so they work as long as the content (for example your website) exists.
Can I add a logo?
Yes, on top of the SVG in any design tool. Choose level H so the code still scans with part of it covered.
How much text fits?
Up to about 2,900 bytes at level L; much less is better for reliable scanning. Use short URLs.
Is scanning tracked?
No. There is no redirect and no analytics in the code.
